Llamado a concurso del Departamento de Economía de la Universidad de Santiago

The Department of Economics at Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Economic History of Chile and Latin America at the rank of assistant or associate professor. A Doctoral Degree either in Economic History or History is required. Preference will be given to candidates whose PhD comes from the top-100 universities listed in the last QS World University Rankings.

Candidates must have an active research agenda; preference will be given to candidates with a strong publication record in mainstream journals. Experience in postgraduate administration and leading major research projects (e.g. funded by Chile’s Conicyt or equivalent foreign institutions) will be welcomed, as well as proficiency in English. Applicants are expected to be able to teach in Spanish. The courses to be taught include World Economic History, Latin American Economic History, Chilean Economic History, and Social Sciences elective courses.

The application should include a cover letter, a CV, one research paper and two letters of reference.
